Full vault
This is an example of scissor trusses built onto an existing roof. Our design utilized common pine dimensional lumber, custom steel brackets, and proper space to insulate this mountain cabin. The roof remained in place for the entire remodel.
Vault Existing Ceilings
We can provide economical designs to utilize structure to provide vaulted or coffered ceilings in existing buildings. In most cases, the existing roof can stay in place during the entire process. This provides a means to open up a room without having to tear down walls, that is unless you want to tear them down. We can help with that too!
Half Vault
We helped open up this Denver ranch kitchen and living room vaulting only one half of the ceiling. The central load bearing wall and roof remained in place throughout construction. The exiting trusses were supplemented with nominal 2x6 pine lumber and finished with faux wood trim.
Existing Wall Removal
We provide consultation services to determine the load bearing and non-load bearing walls in your home. And, of course, we provide the drawings and diagrams to ensure all load bearing walls are safely replaces with proper beams columns. Don’t want to see that beam? No problem, we can flush mount it up in the ceiling to make it disappear!
